Photography should feel handled

Photography shouldn't become another part of the wedding you have to manage.

We'll prepare, communicate, collaborate with your planner, help build the photography timeline and make sure we understand the people and details that matter to you before the wedding ever begins.

So when the day arrives, you can stop thinking about us.

That's kind of the point.

Good photographs start long before the cameras come out.

We don't want to arrive on your wedding day and start figuring you out.

We'll learn what you're planning, what matters most to you, who matters most to you and how you want the day to feel.

We'll work through timing, locations and logistics with you and your planner so photography fits naturally into the day rather than competing with it.

The more prepared we are, the more present you get to be.

Direction when you need it.

Space when you don't.

You shouldn't have to know where to stand, what to do with your hands or whether the light is better somewhere else. We'll handle that. When a photograph benefits from direction, we'll give it clearly and efficiently. But when your dad sees you for the first time, your best friend says something ridiculous, or the dance floor completely loses control? You don't need us directing any of that.

You need us paying attention.

Your time belongs to you.

Yes, we'll ask for time to make photographs. Sometimes we'll even ask for five more minutes because we know what's possible. But we also understand that every minute we take is a minute you're not spending somewhere else. At cocktail hour. At dinner. With your grandparents. With the friend who flew across the country to see you.

Efficiency isn't about rushing. It's about knowing what we're doing.

“Our wedding day was nothing short of perfection!!!! Stephen brought so much fun and organization (which is key to the day of) to our wedding day. The communication between vendors, family, and friends was amazing. The desired aesthetic and moments that were discussed prior to our big day were indeed captured. We have these memories for a lifetime and are super grateful.”

And then you get to see what we saw.

There are photographs you'll remember us making.

The portrait we spent time composing.

The one where we moved you into better light.

The photograph you knew was going to be good before we ever showed you the back of the camera.

And then there will be the others.

The look your dad gave your mom during the ceremony.

What your friends were doing while you were somewhere else.

The person crying three rows behind you.

The ridiculous thing that happened on the dance floor that you somehow completely missed.

The photographs we made with you—and the ones we made while you were busy living it.
